Finishing questions

Okay, so I tatted a bunch of star ornaments for Yule as gifts. I plan on stiffening them with glue and blocking them within an inch of their little lives. My problem - I was lazy and didn't sew in the ends as I finished each star, so I have nine stars with a knot at the end and dangling threads.

Do I have to go back and sew them all in, or could I get away with trimming them really close to the knots and then immediately glueing them?

I am lazy because I have two children under three, and I'm in a time crunch. I'm normally a serious perfectionist...
