I love tatting books and have quite a few, but one I purchased recently (from Handy Hands) has really knocked me out!
It is called "A Tatter's Workbook" and it is a reproduction of a 1920s personal tatting record, with the samples reproduced larger than life size so you can count stitches etc. She has used lots of coloured and variegated threads, which makes it easy to see how the patterns work, and I can spend ages just looking at it. I've started one of the edgings and it is easy to follow despite the slightly idiosyncratic text.
If anyone was wondering then I can highly reccommend it!
