Hi!
I've been tatting for a couple years on and off.

I'm in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronisms [www.sca.org]) and learned from an SCA friend of mine. It's a craft that is being passed around even though it is debateable whether it is historically accurate for the SCA time periods.

I've recently been getting back into the crafts that I did as a teenager and I'm adding the tatting to that.

I would consider myself an advanced beginner. I know how to do a lot, but because of the way I was taught, I don't know a lot of the terminology for it.

I'm a shuttle tatter, and I tend to stick with size 10-20 thread, though I did manage to pick up size 50 thread (actual tatting size I believe) at an SCA event and it is amazing to use, so teeny tiny.

Currently I'm just practicing and getting re-used to the rythyms. Starting and stopping projects without ever completing much. I'm hoping to finish the traditional tatted cross this time though.

I'm glad to find this community! *cheer*
