[identity profile] ex-shattered767.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] tatting
I'm a procrastinator (I was working on this in April!), but at least I finished my state fair project in time to have it registered for judging.

My camera apparently doesn't like shiny glass.

I really want to try tatting. Thanks for posting this! This community was getting a tad sluggish. Good luck at fair!

Yeah, we do slow down rather often. I suspect it's because so many of us are into multiple crafts. :) I know my focus has been on my knitting lately since it's rather new to me. Heh. Once I get this %$#& sweater done, maybe I can get back to my tatting.

Of course, if you're looking for lots of tatting talk, you can always sign up for one of the many email lists. Yahoo Groups has several, plus etatters.com stays pretty busy. :)

Oh thanks! If I get around to starting up tatting I'll definitely look into that! :) I'm definitely one of the multiple artistic projects going on at once kinda gal so I can see why it's so quiet in here..

I suppose that does make sense... But do they allow doilies of other types (crochet, knitting, etc)?

Yep. Sounds like. Interesting. Although the MS State Fair doesn't have that rule, I don't think I've seen 2 people do the same doily (or bookmark, ornament, etc.) more than once or twice.
