Who wants a little envelope with a few random thread samples, 2-10 yard pieces? Cotton, silk, rayon, different sizes (30 to 80), some handpainted by myself, most commercially dyed, all long enough to make at least a small motif with. No catch. I just wind up with tons of shorter lengths and samples and perhaps someone will use these. :)

Also, I have a partial ball (half left?) of Olympus size 40 in a teal color and a barely used ball of Olympus 40 in bright yellow that I will gladly swap with someone for balls in other colors or of some other thread (I love Flora/HH in size 50). I will swap one or both, but I'd like to keep the swap even (partial ball for a partial ball, barely used for barely used). Neither one of these is a color I will use - I actually used the teal in a thread swap to make the swap samples.

what a nice idea! I cannot "play", unfortunately, because I'm too far away and postage would be too expensive, but I think swapping threads is great!

That's a shame - the couple times I've done international swaps I've gotten really neat thread samples, though that was years ago when I first stated tatting and don't remember what they were now.
