Immediately after finsihing my state fair project, I started a new doily on Wednesday.

I'm using Flora/HH size 50 in medium buttercup. It's funny how motivated I am with this, compared to my state fair tatting project that took much longer than it should have.

ohh! how pretty! I never seem to tat in color- I think I need to pick up some bright and pretty thread now. You have inspired me :-)

I tatted in white once, one of the first things I made, however many years ago that was.

On a tip from another tatter in a thread exchange I participated in a year ago, I purchased 2 spools of Perfect Quilter thread (Fall Leaves and Summer Sky, the latter being so pretty) and received them in the mail today. If you can afford it (the best deal I found was as sewthankful.com), they make some lovely, unique variegates. It looks like the thread is a size 50, maybe a hare smaller.
