beginner's intro
Jan. 17th, 2006 01:13 pmhello all, i am misty and i just started trying to teach myself tatting a few weeks ago. the pop/flip was what i had difficulty with, i did figure it out last weekend. I am starting with shuttle-tatting. i became interested in tatting after my mother and i were talking about 'lost arts' and she gave me some pieces of embroidery/tatting that my great-great grandmother had worked. they are so beautiful, i hope to recreate the patterns eventually.
i plan to keep a digital scrapbook of my work, so hopefully my husband will find that camera soon..
i happy to have found this community and hope to get to know you all =)
