Hello, tatting people! I have a question... does anyone know where one gets rings to attach tatting to? As in, to make it into a decoration, or somesuch? Can anyone think what they might properly be called, in order to search for them on the web?
TIA!

I'd try poking around a craft shop like Michael's...I've never used them, but I think I know what you're talking about, and they're probably with the crochet stuff...

I think some people just use curtain rings, don't they? Thin plastic rings like for constructing roman shades or whatever? I've seen packages of them in the embroidery section at JoAnn.

You could also try using brass rings; like the type used for dreamcatchers and such. Those are found in the macrame' section of most hobby/craft stores (usually near the beads and things).

I know some people also use those thin metal bangle bracelets - are those even still in style? I suspect the curtain rings are going to be too small, in general, but it depends on how big 'round your design is. Otherwise, I agree with looking for large brass or steel rings. Worst case, internet search for Craft Rings Brass (or Steel) should work.
