Gormen the dragon
Meet Gormen: a sad little tatted dragon with one bum wing and the other on the way to being there.  He is my first attempt at a lovely (but not by me) pattern by Anne (click on the link that says "engelsk" for the PDF pattern).  I plan on making more dragons, in various colors, but don't hold your breath for them any time soon ;)

variegated bamboo bookmark
Actually my 1st finish of the night was a simple bookmark by Roger AKA Freedman using bamboo thread that I dyed myself; the original thread was white and I dyed it navy blue, then black, so there is some variegation, but it's difficult to really see in the picture.  I added a skull bead that I had at the base of the JK chain & right before the tassle.

I'm using a shuttle, but only because it was the only way I'd heard of doing tatting at that point. I like using the shuttle. I just bought a nice little plastic one that seems to work well.

I figure as long as you even attempt it, doesn't matter what you use, just as long as you enjoy it.

Exactly! :)
