Got Tatting Picts!

I finally processed my film that had the pictures of the ornaments I made over the holidays.
I used a dime to show the size of the peices.
The yellow and white ones are done in size 20 thread.
The yellow and red one was done with size 80 thread.

I agree... they look simple, but elegant. I plan on stiffening these guys, maybe add a little glitter and I've got ornaments to give out as gifts next year. :-)
It was great practice to get me back into the rythym and using beads for the first time.
Now I'm working on an edging for Jim's stocking, then I'll begin working on lace for my veil and wedding dress. I'm thinking I might use beads or something in veil trim, but I'll use jump rings to add them to picots, that way I can place the beads after the tatting is applied to the veil (and dress). Ever heard of this being done?

Ummm... I don't recall hearing of it before, but I don't see why not! I'd probably use seed beads myself for weight reasons. :) Don't want your veil weighing down your head. *cheesy grin* But don't ask me - I didn't start tatting until at least 4/5 years after I got married!
