I am attempting to make the designs in the book "Celtic Tatting" by Rozella Linden and I am having the worst time getting them to work.
Is there some secret to these to get them to cross properly? Has anyone been able to tat them before?
Could there be something with the fact that I'm naturally left handed, but do everything right handed (including tatting)?

I haven't bought the book yet, but I've tried a few of the motifs on Rozella's website. She also has a yahoo group called Celtic Tatting and I'm sure she would offer any suggestions that might be useful. I had trouble with the few I did - but they were small and my first attempts. This is true celtic - the method of interweaving, but it is hard to follow, IMO. Not for the novice tatter. I've been tatting for 5 years and have tried most techniques now. I think this one just takes some practice. If you normally tat right-handed, in spite of being left-handed, I don't think it really makes a difference. It's just kind of fiddly.
